From the Principal

A good education is a foundation for life. Camberwell Girls Grammar School offers an outstanding education and we are proud of the young women who come to Camberwell and the staff who educate them. We work together to ensure that our girls are confident, capable young women when they leave school. There is a marvellous sense of fun and a refreshing lack of pretension. Generosity and warmth extend from the students to all areas of the School including staff, parents and the wider community.
Culture is critical to the fabric of an exceptional school and this is built over time. The Camberwell culture motivates staff and students to strive for excellence - both academically and as people. Our girls describe the culture in this way: “Being in a friendly environment helps everybody to feel connected and builds a foundation for participation and achievement”.
Camberwell is a school where participation is the norm and team spirit is evident. Our girls participate enthusiastically in an extraordinary variety of activities - from academic work to co-curricular pursuits, from social justice commitments to assemblies. Their good humour, energy and involvement create a wonderfully vibrant and happy school.
This website captures the spirit of our culture and indeed the way in which our girls live the School motto Utilis in Ministerium (Useful in Service). I hope that you enjoy reading and learning about Camberwell Girls Grammar School - please feel welcome to visit our school, meet our girls, and staff and discuss your daughter's future with us.

I look forward to meeting you.

With warmest wishes,

Anne Feehan
Principal
