Environment

The FROGGIES are our Senior School environmentally friendly group. Students from years 7-12 can join this group and together they develop initiatives to help the environment. The FROGGIES meet during lunch under teacher supervision.
Initiatives include:
- Encouragement of recycling within the School community  
- Placement of signs in each classroom, reminding people to turn off the heaters, lights and fans at the end of each lesson
- Placement of plastic containers under the drinking fountains to collect water to use on the School gardens
- Annual Cold Day – where all heaters are turned off and students and staff come to School dressed in winter clothing. Everybody makes a gold coin donation
- Remind the School Community to participate in Earth Hour that takes place each March.
- Recycling of old Christmas and Birthday cards to make new ones for sale
- Sale of environmentally friendly products
Monies raised from FROGGIES initiatives goes to:
- Adopting four orphaned Oran Utans in Borneo - Emile, Otok, Carlos and Lidya
- The Bilby Foundation
- Environment Victoria – Healthy Rivers
- Purchasing of Solar Panels for the School
The Year 5  Green Team are our Junior School environmental group.
Their initiatives include:
- Introduction of Monday Munch Day and Nude Food Chewsday to encourage students to bring lunch items in reusable recyclable or compostable containers
- Encouragement of recycling and the use of compost bins
- Maintenace of their own vegetable patch in which all produce is sold
