Throughout its 87 years, Camberwell Girls Grammar School (CGGS) has built a reputation for achieving academic excellence and providing a rich co-curricular program within a caring, friendly environment.  Our aim is to build a strong foundation for life that develops confidence, motivation and self-esteem, irrespective of ability.  Participation and teamwork are part of our culture.  As an Anglican school we recognise and value the unique qualities of each student and seek to educate the whole person – emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, physically, socially and aesthetically, so that each girl has the opportunity to reach her full potential.  The School promotes the development of strong personal values and our School Motto, Utilis in Ministerium, encourages service to others. Camberwell GGS is a medium-sized school of 700 students.  Our Senior Campus caters for students in Years 7 to 12 and Ormiston, caters for students from Pre Prep to Year 6.  Ormiston was founded in 1848 and is the oldest girls school in Australia.  It became part of Camberwell Girls Grammar School in 1965 and in 2007 will move to a new location adjacent to the Senior Campus.
