About Ormiston

Ormiston, Australia’s oldest independent school for girls became part of Camberwell in 1964. Ormiston, founded in 1848, is now Camberwell’s Junior School.
Ormiston offers a rich and forward thinking curricular and co-curricular program from Pre-Prep 3 to Year 6. Participation and teamwork are part of our culture and this helps to develop confidence, motivation and self-esteem. Our aim is to build strong foundations that provide a basis for life. This includes instilling a love of learning and establishing the fundamentals of education so that our children become confident learners.
