Prep to Year 2: Building Strong Foundations

Literacy and numeracy skills are consolidated each day during blocks of teaching and learning times. Our staff recognise that children develop at different rates. While they have high expectations, they encourage, support and challenge every girl through enjoyable activity based programs. Specialist teachers introduce varoius subjects into the curriculum.

Extension and Enrichment
Students come together in cross-age groups for Small and Mighty literacy activities and Brain Power Hour provides an introduction to thinking skills.  An enrichment program commences in Year 2 with Super Strings.  All Year 2s learn a stringed instrument and experience the pleasure of playing music in a group. This program builds concentration and encourages students to aim for excellence from an early age.
