Science is an integral part of the curriculum from Prep and the Year 6 girls study science in the Senior School laboratories. French is introduced in Year 5 and all Year 5 students are introduced to a brass, wind or percussion instrument. This forms the basis for a Middle School (Years 5 - 8) Concert Band which links students from the Junior and Senior Schools.
Extension and Enrichment Year 5
Green Team - inquiry-based topics and hands-on activities include maintaining a vegetable patch, managing a recycling program and making possum boxes to foster environmental knowledge, skills and values. A camp at Naringal in the Western District is a highlight of the year.
Extension and Enrichment Year 6
Leadership In Action - all girls participate in leadership training and each has the opportunity to experience at least one significant leadership position during the year.  A range of excursions foster leadership and develop personal skills. The girls also experience a three day Urban Camp in Melbourne.  They visit Parliament House, Law Courts, State Library and other significant buildings which assists in their understanding of leadership and democracy and the infrastructure which supports Melbourne’s culture and vibrancy.
