Leadership

Leadership at Camberwell is seen as service. Students are encouraged to explore the concept that good leaders are required to serve others.  Leadership is not a selfish pursuit; rather, it is an intangible quality that allows others to learn and grow. The School acknowledges the important role women can play as leaders of industry, politics and society.
The goals of the Camberwell Leadership Program are to:
- help students understand and create their own model of good leadership
- help students have a greater understanding of themselves as leaders
- help students believe leadership can be learnt by anyone
- help students actively seek leadership opportunities
- help students understand, learn and practise the skills required to be an effective leader
- inspire students to use leadership roles to serve the School and the community
- encourage independent thinkers that see leadership as service to others
- help students understand why leadership is important to them, the School and society
- foster collaborative leadership practices.
School and House leadership opportunities are offered in Year 11 and 12 and all girls partake in the Camberwell Leadership Diploma program during years 9 and 10. The diploma offers students opportunities to learn and practise leadership skills so that they are better equipped to exercise these skills when in their senior years.   To obtain the diploma, students must achieve set criteria in the following areas:
- Academic Attitude and Approach
