Pastoral Care
Students learn best when they are happy, involved and connected. The Head of Pastoral Care works closely with staff to provide a caring, positive school atmosphere in which students feel valued and are encouraged to develop strong bonds of friendship, build positive relationships and meet challenges confidently. Our students are encouraged to live the School values of integrity, commitment and respect and derive enjoyment from all that they do. We aim to foster strong interpersonal relationships, trust and cooperation between students, parents and the School.
By developing strong bonds we build:
- a connected community
- positive self-esteem
- self-discipline
- effective learning
- School/Family partnerships
In addition to the Principal and Deputy Principal our student support team includes:
- Head of Pastoral Care
- Head of Senior School
- Chaplain
- Counsellors
- Year Level Leaders
- Form Teachers
- Classroom Teachers
- Learning Support Teachers
Pastoral Team members manage all aspects of student welfare, develop a knowledge of each student, ensure excellent school/home communication and provide support and advice about school work, behavior and personal concerns. There is a collaborative approach when issues arise and need to be resolved.
